Quan Guan are very accurate with their tanks, and it's a relief to see that their commitment to accuracy continues for their WW2 fighters. This Me109 is the 2nd plane I have done by them (Mustang P51) and this is every bit as good as the previous model, with almost the same criticism. The fuselage is relatively simple to make, with the wings being slightly trickier, and the undercarriage is still a little too fragile. One nice thing that they've done is in the use of the stickers. They've designed the stickers to curve out most of the straight edges that the brick camo gives you, creating a far more natural looking camo covering which lifts this model right up there. Definitely worthy of your consideration if you're looking for Me109.
This is a lovely kit, large with good stand, spring loaded wheels, lots of plating. It is a difficult but well illustrated build and captures the spirit of the aircraft really well. The wing attachment technique to get the rake is very clever. My first Quan Guan aircraft model but certainly not the last.
